A clinicopathological study of micronodular and macronodular cirrhosis in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

THE definition of cirrhosis is essentially anatomical, with an additional clinical concept. This is based on the "Report of the Board for Classification and Nomenclature of Cirrhosis of the Liver" at the Fifth Pan-American Congress of Gastroenterology in Cuba (Gastroenterology 1956).
